Another Security BSides Athens in the books. Another great conference where the cyber security community came together to exchange ideas, knowledge, and insights.
The conference has been the meeting place of the cyber security community for years now and 2019 wasn’t the exception; professionals, experts, researchers, students and InfoSec enthusiasts came together to discuss the next “big thing”.

The subjects ranged from local issues like the talk on how “Athens is the heart of Cybersecurity in Europe” by Dr Dekker and Ms Skouloudi, to issues with an international appeal like the talks of Thomas V. Fischer (Beyond Windows Forensics with Built-in Microsoft Tooling<0.- : ) Mr. Dave Lewis (Data Breaches: Barbarians in the Throne Room) and David Lodge & Vangelis Stykas (Smart locks: dumb security, dumber API). At the same time workshops covering hot Information Security topics such as Social Engineering, Mobile malwares, DDos attacks and Cyber Security of ships were in track 2 and satisfied everybody with an interest in Cybersecurity.
For the fourth consecutive year TwelveSec has been proud – doing its part in supporting the community – to be a Platinum sponsor of Security BSides Athens.
Where exciting ideas are being exchanged, we are always happy being around, there is no better way of staying on the cutting edge.
To all the visitors, speakers, and organisers: We had a great time in Security BSides Athens 2019, hope you had a great one too. We will see you all again in Athens next year!
